Quick zoom with the scroll wheel

Changing the zoom in PowerPoint typically involves clicking the zoom buttons, but this process can become tedious after a while. Luckily, we know a shortcut that lets you quickly zoom with the scroll wheel on your mouse.

Check out the video below to see this shortcut in action.

Steps

  1. Open your PowerPoint presentation and enter Edit mode.
  2. Hold down the Ctrl key on your keyboard. Then move the scroll wheel up or down on your mouse to zoom in or out of the slide.
  3. If you are using a laptop with a trackpad, hold down the Ctrl key and use the pinch gesture to zoom in or out.
  4. Adjust your zoom as necessary by scrolling or pinching.

This way you don’t have to keep clicking on the zoom buttons repeatedly, which might help you to streamline your workflow.
